- A maintenance payment for one student ($18,744 for 12 months prorated for courses lasting less than 12 months); for PhD scholars, the grant is for up to four years

Discretionary components
- Depending on the length of your program, you may be eligible for academic development grants ranging from £500 to £2,000 to help you attend conferences and courses
- Family allowance: £10,944 for one child; £15,612 for two or more children (2022-23 rate). A partner is not given any funding
- If you need financing for maternity or paternity leave, you can seek to put your studies on hold for up to six months while still receiving your maintenance allowance
- Fieldwork – As part of your PhD, you can apply to keep up to your regular maintenance allowance while on the field (the Trust does not fund other fieldwork costs as these should be funded by the University Composition Fee)
- Hardship funding is available to help students who face unforeseen challenges
